On the living garden planet Soraya, every traveling Ummi may leave behind an offering born from their journey.

Elarna creates the Wayfinder Seed from her Direction Star and the spirit memories of two travelers who taught her about friendship, courage and finding one’s way. But when the unopened seed receives almost no response, she begins to question whether something can be complete—or valuable—before the universe recognizes it.

An offer to amplify the seed brings Elarna everything she thought she needed: attention, community and a place in the Celestial Canopy. But as its echoes multiply, the seed’s meaning begins to distort—and Elarna’s own direction changes with it.

Elarna and the Wayfinder Seed is a short Afrofuturist cinematic story about creativity, comparison, instant gratification and the courage to release control. It asks what happens when recognition arrives before a creation—or its creator—is ready.

Some things do not need to perform to be alive.
Some growth begins where no one is watching.
And sometimes the truest direction returns only after we start moving again.

Beyond the reach of every measure, the seed chose the soil.
